FAQ
Do I need my own design?
It is always good to have an idea or concept of what you want your tattoo to look like. Do some research and at least provide some image reference for what you want. As a tattoo artist, I will always let you know what I think will look best to make sure your tattoo is top-notch for you.
If you prefer, you can request a consultation and a fully custom design tattoo by me. The design fee will depend on how much of the research you do yourself and how much you want to leave to me.
What will my tattoo cost? Do you need a deposit?
Pricing of tattoos depends on the size of the tattoo, the placement on your body (some areas are easier to tattoo than others), the amount of detail in the tattoo design and the amount of time the process takes.
Yes, you will need to make a deposit ($50 minimum) when you book. If you need to change the appointment, the deposit will be applied to a new appointment as long as you give at least 48 hours notice of the need to change.
Do tattoos hurt?
The tattoo process involves some pain but everyone’s tolerance of pain is different and the pain varies depending on the placement of your tattoo.
The best thing to do to reduce pain is to come prepared:
- Don’t drink alcohol the night before
- Have a big breakfast the day of your tattoo
- Bring snacks, sugars, water
- Get a good night’s sleep the night before
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing
- Bring something like a blanket to keep you warm
Do you have a preferred tattoo style?
My specialties are large tattoos in black and grey realism—the more detail the better.
I’m also comfortable working in other styles, including: colour, water colour, script, mandalas, neo-traditional/traditional, etc.
